^^ Deprioritization based on network demand isn't the same as throttled speed. The reason they can give away unlimited data, and Tmobile as well, is because of the network and bands they have. TONS of bandwidth, but very little coverage and indoor penetration compared to AT&T and Verizon.

"Based on network statistics for the most recent quarter, Unlimited high-speed data customers who use more than 23GB of data during a billing cycle will be de-prioritized for the remainder of the billing cycle in times and at locations where there are competing customer demands for network resources."

" Where the network is lightly loaded in relation to available capacity, a customer whose data is de-prioritized will notice little, if any, effect from having lower priority. This will be the case in the vast majority of times and locations. At times and at locations where the network is heavily loaded in relation to available capacity, however, these customers will likely see significant reductions in data speeds, especially if they are engaged in data-intensive activities."

It's from the link in the previous post - post #10. Network disclosure...
I don't remember which paragraph though.

MetroPCS does not allow data roaming at all.

I'm paying $287 to Verizon for three phones and an Internet gizmo, with 15 gigs of data for the phones.

I pay $40 a month through AT&T GoPhone. The monthly plan includes: unlimited calls; unlimited texts: unlimited data (first 1.5 GB at 4G LTE speeds then after that speed is lowered); roll-over on any 1.5 GB 4G LTE data not used.

-Cheers.

There was constant trouble with purchasing more minutes, and I had to endure long on-hold waiting times for a live person, whom I could not understand because of heavy Asian accent. Usually the first person could not resolve the issue, and I had to wait even longer for a supervisor.

But perhaps this part is better now? For all the $$ spent, I'd much rather be speaking with someone whom I could understand. That's a big reason I went with the Consumer Cellular, who have one of the most consistent highest ratings of customer service.
I've been with Tracfone since 2007 and have only had to call customer service a few times. The most recent, a month or so ago, I had added minutes to the Tracfone flip phone my mom uses and they did not double as they should. Instead of calling, I used the customer support Chat on the Tracfone website. Within a few minutes they added on the minutes that I needed. Previous to that, it's been about 4 years since I had to call Customer Service and I recall that I was helped pretty quickly. So I have not had any problem with their customer service myself. Tracfone takes a bit of learning to optimize the service but I have been very happy with it for <$10 month. The $100 Android phone from Tracfone that I am using, LG Ultimate 2, is a very nice phone, works great!

67.00 a month. Verizon. Grrrrr. I hate paying this much when I don't even use it much. I talk maybe 30 minutes a week on the phone and use less than 100 texts a week.

$99 for 2 lines with unlimited everything on T-Mobile.

Well the hotspot is the only thing that isn't limited. It's 7gb per month per line I believe.

Good to hear that you've had such a positive experience with Tracfone. I was using one back in '01-'02, and the support call was coming definitely from somewhere other than the US. I couldn't understand what was said because of language & accent issues. It's seemingly much better now, according to what you've said.
