I have the same phone but I don't have non what you said as bloatware or annoying messages. I never buy phones with contracts I keep them apart very healthy than dealing with in sane customer service.
Also interested in the Galaxy S7. Looking for more info on peoples experiences. I'm coming from an iPhone 5s and considering upgrading back to android.
Now that I had it about a month it's good not great, 8 cores deals with bloatware, and in the US just about all get a phone with a contract, Europe is different I know.

Bloatware is definitely a reason I've considered staying away from the S7 and sticking with the iOS platform.
Samsung is putting less bloat on the phones then they ever have before. People make WAY too much out of bloatware apps, 80% of which can be disabled nowadays. Even some of the preinstalled games can now be flat out removed.
Also some of the Samsung features are actually pretty cool. My S7 buddy was telling me what some of the things her phone has and she was like "Your phone doesn't do that? Doesn't do that? What is it, 2006?!?!" If you are texting someone and the texting is starting to go long and you decide to 'we should just talk' and you want to call that person: while looking at the text on your screen....put the phone to your ear. It calls that person. Not a killer feature, no, but I'd love to have it.

Ya, I've been thinking about either the S7 edge, staying with an updated iPhone or going with the new nexus phone.
I know 2 people with S7's. 1 Edge, 1 S7.
The one who got the Edge was very into the idea of the Edge. Looked at one in a store and then thought it wasn't really worth the $100 premium for that (gimmicky) feature. The Edge owner, her husband is a big nerd and got them both Edges... I guess just because it was a cooler techn ology. She could care less about the Edge and barely uses any of the couple of features it support.
My advice? Get the S7 and don't pay the premium for the gimmick...
I had the Edge and had problems with accidental edge presses. I tried 4 different cases to try and prevent this to no avail. It's very pretty but made it hard to use for me. Took amazing pictures, had an awesome screen, and was pretty fast.
This is the first time I have said, "wow, this is a big upgrade from my last phone." (and I upgrade every year, or every two years at most)
