One of the things I love about living in a small town is what you miss. We all have our iPhones but put them away when we eat out or chat in Safeway or when we bump into someone we know.

Actually I see very few people stairing at their phones walking. If my phone dings I pull it out. Otherwise it stays in my pocket.

I don't miss much about life before smart phones. I only use it when I'm on the road working. I have it with me during business hours, but other than that I never carry it. I have been known to say things like, "Call me on my car phone". Yes, I'm old.

One less thing to distract people when they were driving!!!

People actually had to call you and say/ask what they needed, so there was no scratching your head to figure out the context of a text message.
