I've had my S8+ for about 4 months now and i am thinking about grabbing an Iphone X because it has better camera related apps( stuff we use on film and commercial set)... Should i pull the "trigger" or wait for an Iphone 10+ ?

If you want it and can eat the monetary loss, go for it. The X seems like a very nice device, though apparently Face ID isn't as smooth as Touch ID, although Samsung opted for weird unnatural fingerprint reader placement, so maybe Face ID won't strike you as less convenient.
I find Apple products to be too expensive given the frequency at which new iterations come out. I’m not too pleased with the fact that they got rid of the headphone jack and even the Pixel 2 has picked up that trend. Other than that it looks pretty interesting.

I think you should wait for a phone that doesn’t exist.

They alway launch a phone then a slight improve copy of the previous model.. I wam wondering if they going to fo the same with the Iphone 10. The 8 is very similar to the 7
After conducting several breakability tests on the iPhone X, SquareTrade, a company that provides extended warranties for electronic devices, concluded that it is the "most breakable, highest-priced, most expensive to repair iPhone ever," despite claims from Apple that the iPhone X has "the most durable glass ever in a smartphone."

They do not.
The X has a different aperture telephoto lens and both lenses have optical image stabilization. The X will produce better low light pictures and less blur than the 8+.
Regardless, the OP doesn't have an iPhone 8 anyway.
I know. I'm saying....just get an 8. He said it had a better "app". It does not. Didn't realize it had OIS...the Galaxy has OIS. The X is not going to be that much better then the Galaxy.

Better apps than the S8+...
As for 8 vs X, that's really something only the OP can decide. If the dual cameras are important, then it's down to the 8+ or the X. If OIS or low light performance are super important, then the X is better, but the OP will have to decide if the incremental improvement in image quality is worth the extra money.
