It all depends on how many minutes you use and how much you want to spend. I've used Tracfone for more than 10 years and have a large bank of minutes that I will likely never use. It's never cost more than $7-8/month.
Same here. Why pay for all-you-can-eat if you don't eat very much? I hardly use minutes at all so the last two years I have purchased only service days (one year for $50), one or two text cards (1000 texts for $5), and one or two data cards (1 GB for $10).
I had two friends, both paying for "unlimited" everything, and when I asked them how much they actually used they both were surprised to find that their usage was much lower than they thought. They both switched to Tracfone (with their previous phones and numbers) and each saved a ton of money.
I had Consumer Cellular & they were excellent. They use AT&T towers. Consumer Reports frequently rates them #1 when combined with traditional & prepaid services. https://www.consumerreports.org/cell...bigger-better/
I currently use Selectel since I moved to an area outside of AT&T towers. Selectel uses Verizon towers but at much less cost & fees. Good customer service too.
Yo, if you really want the goodest phone plan that there is, check out mintsim.com. It's cheap and it's unlimited talk and text. There are different tiers of 4g data that you can pay for, but after you run out of 4g data you get unlimited 3g data after that. For their cheapist plan it cost's $15 per month. Not bad at all for what you get.
They run on T-mobile's network, and you need to own a compatible phone to use it.
most prepaid is unlimited min and text, your paying for data..
I know net10 still has a few pay per min plans, but most have gone away with that.. i know a few "senior citizens" plans are still out in the wild.. only pay for what you use.
Most prepaid offers at LEAST one plan with limited minutes.

Well if someone wants to spend their money that way why prevent them from doing so.
Speaking of plans, I see that AT&T Prepaid has switched things up again. They now have 8 GB for $50, whereas I am on the 6 GB for $45 plan. I may have reevaluate things.
But to what you're talking about they have a plan that is 25 cents a minute, and you can pay a penny for 5 kilobyes of data. I honestly do not understand this plan, never have. But it is an option. Of course, the way that AT&T Prepaid works there needs to be a minimum of $10 in the account. And no data for smartphones on that plan. For that hassle you're better off with the $35 a month plan but some people will never do it, because it is $35 a month to keep your service active. So go figure.
