I just got a text message from a number I don't know.
It says "Hi, My name is xxxx xxxxxxx, I am interested in buying your home at XXX Xxxxxx XX for Cash. If interested Please Respond Y. If not, please respond N."
I plan to ignore it.
It is annoying that some ass has now found my address and linked it to my phone number. I hope this does not mean I will now have to contend with annoying text messages to and have to shut down texting on my phone.
Anyone had these messages yet.

No texts or emails here, but we do get letters regularly.
I've had multiple messages from the politician from different phone numbers. They all say "Hello Debsi's real name, this is lowpaid staffer's name" and then the same message about their grassroots campaign.
The politician's facebook page has admitted they're doing this. They give a number you can text STOP to, but people on facebook said it didn't work so I didn't bother.

Have you made donations to any candidate? I get texts like that but it's because I'm registered with a website that processes payments for Democratic candidates all over the country. I must have opted in at some point to say they could text and email me. I've been opting out of the emails, and that definitely works. I haven't bothered with the texts because they are infrequent enough and generally just one per campaign when I don't one respond.

No I didn’t! I’m not sure what list they got my info from.
I just block the number whenever I get one.
