Is there a way to disable the find my iphone feature? sometimes at 3 am it will start going off over and over on worknights and makes it to where I can’t get back to sleep. I use my phone as my alarm for work, and I’d hate to have to buy an alarm, but silencing my phone does nothing to stop the onslaught by “find my iphone”. I just want relief.

I’m not sure why it is coming on if you didn’t start ir yourself, but please try restarting your phone. Hold the power button until the slider to turn it off comes up. Slide to off. Wait a few minutes and then press and hold the power until the screen lights up then let go. See if that fixes it.

Just google “find my iPhone “ and you will find how to turn it off.

It is a handy feature that I’ve used more than once to find my wife’s phone and that one time to lock my iPad when I left it at a motel.

That's really strange. I'd first suggest changing the password to your appleID in case it's been compromised.

It also might help to turn it off and back on in settings, could be some kind of iCloud syncing error.

Agree with Debsi. This should NOT be happening unless you initiate it.

You could have been hacked. You can't know that for sure.

Changing your password is the first and most obvious thing you should do to address the issue you are having.

Could your Mom be purposely or accidentally activating the Find my iPhone feature?

She’s done that in the past and still does it sometimes if my phone is on silent and my home phone is off the hook, but she denies doing it at 3 am. In a way, what she does is harassment, too, and while I’m more tolerant of her trying to get my attention when I’d rather have my alone time, I’ve considered getting off her plan since sometimes she abuses that to get me to call her.
