...If it always takes photos backwards?

I understand why it looks backwards in the view screen - kind of like a mirror - but shouldn't it automatically correct in the taken photo itself?

BTW all our devices do flip the taken selfies, so we can read all signs in them. Guess we are just the few, and the lucky!

And Apple and Samsung have no explanation.

Judging from the response here, either nobody cares or no one knows what I'm talking about.

I never even thought about it. I did a test by holding up a sign and taking a picture. It was backwards in the display, but the resulting picture flipped it around so it could be read. It seems right to me.

Then you and I are distinctly in the minority! All my friends selfie pics are backwards. Behind the wheel of a car, they all look like they are driving in England. Lettering or logos on their shirts, backwards.

That's what's supposed to happen - but apparently to only ten percent of selfie-users.

Selfie acts like a mirror, to help you compose your shot. After taking it, the image is supposed to be automatically flipped so it's corrected.

"Never gave it a thought"?? So you're ok with backward photos of yourself with backwards team lettering on your shirt, or backward clocks behind you?

How could you not notice it?

When I take a selfie, does it really matter if my face is reversed? I'm beautiful from both angles.

I guess ignorance is bliss!

I just prefer things to be correct - if that's even still a concept in this decade.
