My wife is having issues with her Andriod cellphone, hopefully someone can help out. She can call out on her phone but can not receive calls. Phone does not ring, all calls go into voice mail. I checked all preferences which check out ok, however her memory is low, something like 5mgs. She has taken several pictures but does not want to trash them. It is the pics that is hogging all the memory. Her call plan is just a simple plan, no internet, texting etc...so no cloud to upload to. I bought a usb to download onto a desktop, in which I have not figured out how to do yet, but not as cut and dry as I thought it would be.

My question is would low memory prevent a cell phone from receiving calls, ringing etc.? Would there be a preference that I'm overlooking? What would you do, where would you go to fix this issue if need be?

I am willing to bet that her calls are being forwarded to VM directly and if so, it will not ring.

Check with you carrier. Low memory should not be causing this type of issue.
