Screen has gone black so I can't look it up on the phone. All I can get from the back of the phone are the IMEI and serial numbers. Can I get the model # from either of those somewhere?

I looked at Speccy (CCleaner's system ID utility), and it only appears to only work on PCs, not smartphones. Did I miss something?

If you're looking for a PC's "What's in My Box" utility, also check out Belarc Advisor (Free for personal use).

Yes, the guy's phone screen didn't work. So, plug it into a computer and run speccy to see what phone model number is plugged into his PC.

There are free "IMEI checker" applications that have you enter your IMEI # and it will tell you your exact phone model #. Just do an internet search.

Can this be done with a broken screen?

Sure, if you search from a PC with no broken screen...it’s the IMEI it cares about.
