My sis is in a nursing home and has a Obama phone with safelink. She has been paying the last few years and i have no clue how to add mins. She would go on line and add mins.

Says it has 18 service days left. I have no clue how it all works as i don't have a cell phone.

Anyone know how this stuff works?

Go online to tracfone.com, buy airtime with a credit card. You'll need her phone number.

It has 3000 mins on it now. But says 18 service days left. So i guess when the 18 days are up the phone won't work.

Remember that even though she may have minutes left, unless $$ is added periodically, those balances can expire after a specified time frame. With many prepaid plans, a $100 refill lasts for 365 days and anything less is good for up to 30 days. Adding more funds will protect the unused plan minutes based on the amount paid.

OP, make certain to post any future questions or contact Tracfone customer service directly.

I may go for one of them Doro flip phones. I plan to get rid of cable and the house phone.
