I accidentally clicked on the link but as the browser was loading I exited out of it. I used Lookout to see if my phone was infected and it showed that my phone was clear of any threats. Is there anything else I should to make sure my information wasn't retrieved?

Did you store any private information such as bank account or credit card #'s in the phone? If so, contact you bank ASAP. Hard to tell what might have been accessed from your phone. You might have to have those types of accounts assigned new account #'s.

I just have pictures on my phone. I think I may have purchased an app through credit card though.

Phones are pretty locked down. That's not to say that there aren't security exploits but it's far less of a concern than if you'd done the same from a computer. Even then most, but certainly not all, need to be executed locally. They're reliant on the end user happily downloading something and installing it when prompted to do so.

If it was an iPhone and you were using the Apple mail app, you don't even have to open an email, let alone click on a link in one to be exploited. It's perhaps the worst exploit on smart devices to date.

First of all, odds are you closed this before anything could happen. Second, it probably wasn't a virus but something like an attempted id theft. Had the page loaded there would have probably been a "Enter your social sec and DOB" or something like that. Or "Pay us $100 to expedite your check".
