i'm fairly new to the smart phone craze (abt a month now). i was given a moto e6, i have dumbed it down so that i can text & make phone calls. i have no need for the rest of the "fluff" that comes with these devices.
the device did an update about a week-2 weeks ago to android 9. now my texting app crashes 99% of the time i try to use it. i am using message+ ver 7.0.8. any suggestions? after searching the internet, i discovered there's no "roll back" feature
i'm about ready to throw this thing in the drawer & wait a couple of months before using it again (giving them plenty of time to roll out another update).
I believe that's the Verizon messaging app? Red icon? In any event, usually little issues can be fixed by simply removing and reinstalling the offending app. Go into the app drawer. Push and HOLD the icon. You should get a UNINSTALL OPTION. Go to the Play Store and redownload it or a different app.
and all of these apps have to be installed from the play store?
or f-droid, or amazon app store, ... or manually downloaded from various internet websites. but for yoo since yoo are just starting out, its probably less confusing to just search for things on the play store for now.
