Verizon Custom Experience (automatically, websites, email, buy)

This is a new Verizon program whereby they track the apps you use and websites you visit so they can send you directed advertising. You are automatically opted-in. The opt-out link they provide in their text messages and Emails about this program is broken. If you want to opt-out, go to the Verizon website, your account profile, and privacy preferences, where you can opt-out of this as well as half a dozen other things they've opted you into without any notification.

Maybe when they switch from CDMA to GSM like everyone else uses, the new phone you will have to buy will be better.

I have opted out of everything on Verizon, but don't believe that it stops them from collecting everything you do. Using a program to show who is collecting info when using an app, Verizon is just as bad, if not worse at times than Facebook.



They may, or may not actually exchange info if you opt out, but I think it is more lip service. PR stuff with what Apple is allowing you to restrict, and several other apps (DuckDuckgo) showing you what is happening.
