Last update immediately started problems on phone. It freezes up, the home button never works, all kinds of hiccups.
Has anyone heard anything that this will be fixed? or know who to notify.
I've never had a problem like this before.

How long have you had the phone? Is it still in warranty? Did it occur after the UI/Android 12 update or a security update? I got the Android 12 update at the end of November and 2 security updates in the past 2 weeks.
I am using a Samsung S21 5G but not having any device hiccups. Could have been an update to your phone that didn't install properly.

It's about 3 years old. I think it was an android update? They occur every so often, and they are pretty aggressive about making you do it. The update was about a week ago. I waited a bit because I figured they would send out a fix, but nada.
Apparently uninstalling an update is kinda a big thing, and I think you have to go into developer mode.
I still have to try a soft reset.

You should reboot your phone after every update or after you put in a new app.
I shut it off and restarted it. Three times.
I'll try a soft reset, and if that doesn't work, then a hard reset. It's all I can think of.

Which carrier do you use? I have Verizon and I have to admit I've popped into a store a couple of times asking about an issue I was having on my phone. I also went there and asked it they would put a new screen protector on my phone that I bought online. They were happy to do it, or so they said.
Soft didn't work. I'm slowly making sure everything is backed up before the hard reset. I will probably swing by ATT store before doing that.

My wife's phone from Cricket (same company) a Moto Play 5 quit working after an update. Phone is only three months old. Cricket store fixed it.
That's what I'm hoping for. I'll walk into ATT and they'll be like "oh yeah, we've seen that and know what to do." The longer I wait the more chance they will have seen it before.
