I'm interested. I just read about a fellow using the Touchpad application on an iPod Touch (2nd gen) to control another iMac that was being used to record a dance/music performance event. Because he could connect the Touch to the Mac via an AirPort device connected to that Mac, he could use Touchpad to remotely operate the Mac's recording application during the performance from anywhere in a large auditoriium.

I'm also glad to see there are several (I've counted four so far) applications for making phone calls over the Internet using only an iPod Touch via Wi-Fi.

I'm not inclined to buy an iPhone but would prefer to use the Touch to make occasional VoIP phone calls.

I just got a gen 2 8gb touch- I like it but does have some quirks. For instance, when you go into landscape mode while playing music (turning the touch length wise), you lose the volume and music position controls. This wouldn't be a big deal other than the head phone jack is located in the bottom right corner of the unit. So while I'm working out on a treadmill I can't stand it up and have to position it length wise, and then i lose the volume control and the position control. NOt a biggy but it is annoying (yes I know I can use the external volume control but I like using the touch screen).

I use a program called ifitness and coffee locator those are my favs.

I use the PathTracker App to keep track of my mileage. Pretty amazing...then it just e-mails me the info for my records.
