We have a Labradoodle and a Silkie Terrier that we bring to the beach. We thought the Labradoodle would love chasing the surf but it's our 12 lb. Silkie Terrier that body surfs. It's just hysterical. Glad you had fun with your dogs!

Like having a baby -- if you bring a dog -- bring your own poop bag.

I would bet it is too hot for most dogs on the beach these days. They would be happier at home in the air conditioning....I have a black lab -- we are waiting until the fall/winter/spring and then he can enjoy the walks on the beach.

I'm not sure it's the heat that bothers Bo, although that could be part of it, I think mostly it's that he isn't really used to 'long' walks, he only has short legs (bassett) and he is quite happy just wandering around in the yard.lol.

We don't have to shovel snow many days out of the year either, Emily, but we live on such a steep hill that two inches of snow on the ground keeps us home if it's icy too. It gets pretty annoying! My youngest boy had a horrible sledding accident last year, so if I never see another snowflake I'm cool.
I live in a 4 year old 1750 sq 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home and my electric bill is budgeted at $125./month (no gas). The weather here is much better than in Connecticut in my opinion.

Don't you have to pay electiric for a year though, before they will put you on budget billing? That is what we were told.

I haven't seen a $125 bill in 15yrs here. Last house was only 1,900 and we were still in the $200/mo. Now, fughhhet about it...House is 3,500 and bill is SKY high! I'll post it when the $400 bill comes in next week

I wouldn't mind the heat so much, if we could get a drop of rain. Where I live in Fort Mill/Tega Cay border, we haven't had rain for 14 days.
