If anyone has experience with this, would be so grateful for your information!

We have been with State Farm for 15 years. Getting ready to move in to our long-term rental on IOP.

We want to get renters insurance against fire, theft, damage, loss. State Farm says they will not provide insurance on IOP even against those things (let alone flood). Does anyone know a company that will?

Also, any recommendations for someone to provide us flood insurance, contents only?

AND, our car insurance quote went up $600.00 a year over North Carolina !!???

Input and recommendations please! Thanks.

I hear good things about Wynn. But chose to go with Ryan Young of Sam Schirmer Insurance Agency (Nationwide Insurance), 843-881-4707 for my cottage out on Seabrook Island.

Ryan is way more attentive than my previous agent and insurance company. He answers my emails quickly and efficiently. And, he did manage to save me a few $

Get ready--insurance is not cheap on the SC coast.
