Hi All,
Moved here 3 weeks ago from MA...just missed the snow bonanza. In the past week I ended up sitting on my glasses (it's a long story) and they are now just falling off my face. Any recommendations on store/doctor where I can get them adjusted and/or possibly buy a new pair. Had my yearly exam in November so won't be doing that for awhile but would consider staying with the office if things go well.
Thanks!
PS -- I'm in West Ashley but am not afraid to drive outside of the immediate area.

Most any optical shop will adjust your glasses for free. Especially if you say you are new to the area as they want you to like them and do business with them.

Wanted to follow up on this -- I did go to a number of optical shops including Lenscrafters and no one was willing to adjust them because they didn't carry that brand. All told me if they accidentally broke them while adjusting them, they didn't want to be responsible. But all 5 shops/optometrists were willing to sell me new glasses as a solution. I ended up finding a shop that would adjust them when visiting a friend up in Charlotte so all is well.

Thanks for the responses and now I have a list of places not to consider when I do replace these frames later in the year

I've taken my glasses to Jackson Davenport on Trolley Road and they have twice adjusted my glasses for free (once I did the same thing and sat on them). I just spent what feels like an eternity looking for new glasses. Is there a particular brand you're looking for?

Just a heads up... Jackson Davenport does not accept many of the major eye insurance plans.
