DH's parents lived in Maine many years ago.


What do they have to be conceited about?
They have two seasons there, winter and the 4th of July ! LOL

I have never been to Maine. But anyone in South Carolina- 50th in Education (okay, 51st to be technical- behind even Washington DC), 1st in Crime, and 1st in the poundage (and that's pretty bad when you're a little state) in carcinogens dumped into the waters (in other words, tops in most everything you don't want to be tops in, and at the bottom in most everything you want to be tops in) should not be throwing stones.

no one in SC is throwing stones........geesh get over it, lighten up it was all in fun. Good thing you aren't in SC you are way to uptight. LOL!!!!!!!!!!

SC is ranking pretty low even for new data. Charleston as an area is not bad, but compare to some of the cities I lived in...I can see why the ranking is low. Geechie North might not be exactly right but far better than someone making up facts and data, and say don't trust the "facts" because they don't match my believes even after varification. As for children's education, school district is important, but being a good parent is far more important!
