rental houses in Summerville? (sales, rentals, vs.)

I'm new to the forum, but have read everything I can find regarding Summerville. We are very interested in moving there, however I've never been to the area. We would like to find a nice rental home as we make the transition, but would like to rent from an individual vs. a property management co. Does anyone know how to find this info? I'd also love some info on sales jobs.
