The Inn at Palmetto Bluff coming in at #19 made the top 20 list of most gorgeous spas in the world in an article on MSN today...along with only a handful of others in the USA. They were rated on the gorgeousness of their surroundings and their hedonistic body treatments. I thnk it is pretty impressive for them to be in the company of spas in Bali, Maldives and Hawaii which are notorious for their breathtaking beauty. Only one spa each from Arizona, New Mexico and Massachusetts made the list( besides SC) from the 48 continguous United States. (The architecture and views of one in Massachusetts (in Nantucket) reminds me a little of Hammersmith Farm, Jackie Onassis' summer home growing up in Newport, RI and The Kennedy compound on the Cape in Hyannis).
