Myer's Mill HOA - Summerville, SC (houses, moving to, association)

We're moving to Myer's mill soon and I was wondering about the Home Owners Association (HOA). How often do they meet? We received soem guidelines and they seem pretty reasonable.

Are you active in the HOA? Are there any sorts of guidelines for keeping your yard nice? I see a few houses with lots of "stuff" in the front yard, and I just wondered if there was any sort of rules against that.

What has your experience been? Do you like the HOA?
