Lowcountry natives, do you consider Kingstree to be part of the lowcountry or the Pee Dee?

no it's not part of the lowcountry...

most of the lowcountry is on the southeast coast of SC, furthest inland would be Summerville/Moncks Corner...

Kingstree is definitely in the Pee Dee. Even though they just get WPDE and WBTW from that area, along with WIS (rest are from Charleston), the local news never shows their high school's football highlights unless they go to the Charleston area, and you have Pee Dee businesses there.

That would be Brown's BBQ. It isn't that great in my estimation. Way too much vinegar. So much that you can't taste the pork.

I would agree with the majority and say it is the Pee Dee. About Brown's BBQ, you would definately smell the vinegar before you walk in the door! I know that they sure do have some great fried chicken and banana puddin'. It is something that I pick up on my way to my house in Florence.

The only reason why I ask is because some of my relatives in Kingstree keep referring to themselves as being in the lowcountry because they're near Georgetown hence it is the coast.
