It is all about your attitude...if you act like you don't want to belong, that is how people are going to treat you. We are moving to Summerville as soon as we sell our house in Washington. We bought a great house on Swift Court and we are excited to become part of the community.

Never happen, too many people are not happy unless they have something to complain about....

I think my post was misunderstood.

When I said "Good news" I meant Good News for the "natives" that don't like the Yankees relocating here.

For me I'm looking forward to:
- less humidity
- hopefully less allergies - over 2 yrs I've gotten BAD allergies... Dr. assumes my resistance slowly diminished, I'm assuming all the mold, when outside, drainage, lose voice, then couldn't breathe - even on medicine. Never had problems before
- more conveniences, restaurants, stores, concerts/live entertainment (more), and sports (professional).
- hoping less crime and poverty, not as much a mixed bag. Our daughter often felt unsafe when the sun went down, at local business just outside our development.

I'm going to terribly miss - friendliness, politeness, respect, chivalry... you get the idea that still exists here - we've always been less northern and more southern in this respect - talk to just about anyone. The few times I've visited out west - makes me sad, because it's just not the same as here. Lastly the people, from our friends/neighbors/other parents... along with the teenagers that we've embraced as family - our house was the "go to" house, kids would hang out, food, soda, games, movies - water fights... you get the idea.

We've relocated because of job offers... both here, and now out west - no other reason.

Via con Dios - I wish you the best, and hope your move is smooth and hassle free. Living around the country is quite an experience - I will always be a Montana girl - but I've gained so much from all the places I've lived.
