There is a evening ghost tour downtown. It's sort of a walking ghost story/ history lesson that is pretty interesting. A few people I've talked to really think old city jail is haunted. I know one guy that was there doing some construction work that kind of freaked out and said he had to leave and refused to go back. Other places like Poogans Porch and the Dock Street Theater have had sightings as well.

I think I glimpsed the ghost of Poogan (the dog the owners named the restaraunt after & is burried out front) when I ate at Poogan's Porch once, but I haven't seen the ghost of the old lady there.
I'll be coming down to Charleston to visit my grandparents in a couple of weekends, so which Citydataer wants to come w/ me to go check out Strawberry Chapel and the Summerville Lights at night...I definitely want to check them out, but doubt 80 yr old grandparents will want to , but I also don't want to go alone, as I don't want Summerville PD thinking I'm a druggie or something ...plus, I don't want to be alone if I get chased by ghost lights .

Isn't there a place that is supposed to be haunted by the ghost of either John Wilkes Booths' brother or father. I was watching a show about ghosts on the TLC and they were doing Charleston. Cemeteries don't really bother me because of all the places in Charleston to haunt why stay in a cemetery. Of course, you wouldn't catch me going to one at midnight. I may be naive but I'm not stupid. LOL

No, it didn't show up 'til I downloaded the pix from the camera... if it had, I wouldn't have stayed, LOL! The pix with the circles, that some people call "orbs", I'm still skeptical about. But yes, the one with the swirly stuff is much more bizarre

I love the tours... they're interesting, get some history... I've thought about applying to be a tour guide; would be kinda fun!

I ate at Poogan's Porch, hoping to see her, but I didn't. (Maybe if I take a camera, she'll show up, ha). Count me in on the visit to Summerville Light or S. Chapel!

Anyone got information on that stone house right off Folly Road, on the way to James Island.
It's right before the Wappoo Cut on the right. Apparently, this has been sold many times b/c tenants
claim that it's haunted. I heard the legend growing up on James Island but I wasn't sure of the whole story.
