We are thinking of going to Charleston for our February school break. We realize the weather may be somewhat cool and rainy so we were hoping to find a hotel with an indoor pool for our 3 kids. Anyone have any ideas? We are open to staying outside the city. We have stayed in IOP and Mt. P. in the past. Thanks!!!
I've been looking for the same thing for the same reasons.. I can't find any in Mt Pleasant, Summerville, or downtown Charleston with an indoor pool. There are some in North Charleston, the Radison and the Hilton Garden Inn are two that I know of. I have not stayed in either one yet and I don't know how good those areas are safety wise.
We usually stay in Mount Pleasant or Summerville, and then go to the Ocean Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach for a nite or two. It has an indoor pool and lazy river with a small splash park like area in the middle. I've found the prices reasonable and clean and my daugher loves it and has a great time. It's kind of her reward at the end of our trip for being good for the first part when we are looking at houses and neighborhoods etc. They have a website with lots of pictures. We will also be there the last week in Feb when the kids are off.
Ive never stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in North Charleston, but I have stayed in some of the ones along the I95. Never had any problems and would stay in one again. If it's in a decent area I would try it.
Charleston Place has an indoor pool. Just double check to see if it is for all guest or just spa users.
Also Mount Pleasant has a few indoor pools that you can use for a very minimal fee.
Bestwestern Airport Inn and Suites on Prospect st off of ashley phosphate(sp?) is a smaller pool. I booked a jacuzzi king suit for 75 after taxes. the room was really nice. i belive it had a pull out couch in a living room setting. it had the bed and jacuzzi tub seperate from that room. pool is kind of on the smaller side but it seemed like a really nice hotel!
