true....

I have lived in a state where there are texting laws... they aren't enforced.

How police work, I have seen in my years of being on the roads and in automotive scene.

Cops follow what politicians are fighting for, Fast and Furious comes out, kids start street racing stupidly, teenage deaths on TV, cops crack down on racing drunk drivers get away free. Sad story about a girl get hit by a drunk driver on news.... cops get pressure to crack down on Drunk driving, street racing left alone.

All we will do is get into more bull**** laws, and even worse may lead end up being vague and left up to the interpretation of the police officer. Is me plugging my phone into my stereo and streaming Pandora considered texting and driving? Me hitting my hands free, I am operating a phone while driving, is that considered "operating a phone in a moving vehicle" which may fall under texting and driving.

The police in this area don't even stop the rampant & dangerous speeders that travel the cities' corridors every day. Do you think they would waste their 'valuable' time stopping a telephone user?

No they are busy with speed traps and BS stops at the end of the month to increase revenue....

Even as much as stopping people doing "california stops" off rivers at 6am.

I've never seen a speed trap in this area. It's like a racetrack most of the time. I consistently see police just overlooking this behavior. I personally have never lived in an area that this is so obvious.

Lack of enforcement (Police participation) simply encourages the behavior.

As for the California roll through an intersection, you may want to come to a stop the next time. That 'is' the law.
