Charleston Jiu Jitsu is who I used to train with, and will probably start back up again soon. They teach Gracie jiu-jitsu, and are located at the gym behind the old ice cream place in West Ashley. Jerry Brewer is the owner. Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Charleston, SC 29407 - (843) 364-9565
Arts for Fitness is in Summerville and West Ashley... they teach true BJJ straight from the Machado's, who are all family with the Gracies...
occassionally one of the Machado's comes in and does a seminar at one of the schools
the guys teaching it, as well as most of the guys taking it are from Brazil and have trained with the Gracies and Machado's many times
my son's been going there for about a year and a half and loves it, he's 17... they're trying to get a BJJ tournament going, talking about taking it to Atlanta
I train at the Arts for Fitness school in Summerville. Not sure if this is helpful information, but there are several female students there when i go on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
If you have questions, check out their Facebook page and someone will help you out.
Charleston MMA they offer full MMA training. Coach Casey is a Gracie blackbelt, they have an extensive Gi and No gi program. If your not interested in full MMA they offer a single discipline package.
I would only be interested in BJJ.. Would you perhaps know how much they charge? I haven't had a chance to give them a ring yet...
Thanks.
