We are moving to South Carolina from Pennsylvania and we are looking over the internet and found a couple properties in Charleston National and we are wondering if that is a good section of Mount Pleasant? Thank you, It is just a little hard doing this over the computer since we are so far away.

I don't live anywhere near there but have friends in Charleston National. Every time we're in that neighborhood we're impressed. It's beautiful, can't go wrong.

Here is a video I took of Charleston National a while back. Some of the better Realtor web sites in my opinion will have videos, photos, school and other information related to many of the different subdivisions in Mt. Pleasant.

Great older neighborhood. I have several friends who love it. Homes are older and less expensive than other neighborhoods like Park West.

Charleston National is a great area. About as far up Rte 17N as one can go and still be in Mount Pleasant. It is "across" Rte 17 from Wando High, A great school but someone already covered that nicely.

Couple of cavaets and maybe not issues" Charleston National is a public golf course, not a private golf club. Homeowners pay a "social?? dues" (about $30.00 per month) to the golf club even if they do not use the club. Check on this. Some get upset at this "fee" others consider it as a cost of living in a nice area.

In that same area, look at Park West. A multitude of different sections/neigborhoods. Many amenities, connecting path ways, close to primary and middle schools, about 2 miles south of Wando High just off Rte 17.

All of Mount Pleasant is "just off" Rte 17....LOL

You better look very close at the construction of the house. I had a buddy that liver there for a few years. Some of the exterior wood was cheap particle board. He had to replace a good bit of it before he sold the house.
