Hey y'all,

We are coming to visit in early May, and I know there are a lot of carriage rides that go through downtown, but what are some of the best ones for the money?

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks!

I have taken a few carriage rides with friends when they have come to visit me.....

From what I have seen thay are all priced pretty similar. Usually the tourist magazines you can pick up everywhere will have coupons for a couple dollars off the rides.

As far as the routes they take it appeared to me that all the carriage companies go through a "lottery" system. When the carriage starts out they have to check in at a booth where, literally, a little ball pops up that tells the driver which route they will be taking through downtown. So it doesn't seem like choosing one company or another would ensure ou a better or worse route.

Walking tours are also available, they may vary a bit as far as where they take you, but I haven't done one of those.
