Default My recent visit..

Last weekend, my wife and i came to Charleston for the weekend. She attended grad school at the University of Charleston and lived there for 5 years, i had never been. We have been to St. Augsutine many times, and i found Charleston to be just as fun and historic. Hope no one minds me saying that! I really enjoyed it. She showed me where she lived on Folly Island for a few months, we walked out to the lighthouse on the far end, can't recall the name of it. We had lunch at The Crab House, aswesome grouper sandwich. Then, we went downtown, walked the Market, and took a carriage ride. She had not done any toursity stuff when she lived there, so we both got to experiance it together. I love history and really enojoyed the houses and Battery Park. We stayed with some friends of hers, not sure what the area is called, but was off Ashley ??? west of the airport.. She showed me where she worked on James ISland, when she was working for DNR, and we ate at Cosmic Hot Dogs... i think that was it. Ate dinner downtown at a place called Fish.. excellent place. We definitly want to come back and visit some more. People were friendly, and the whole town is wonderful!

Glad you had a good time....sounds like you got to do quite a bit and ate at some good restaurants. I never get tired of living here and love it when I have out of town guests and get to take them to all the tourist attractions that I normally don't go to. It's fun to see our beautiful city through fresh eyes. I love St. Augustine too!

It is a wonderful place to visit and an even better place to live. For us it all started with a visit and then we decided to move here and have never looked back.

I'm glad to hear people say that. Every time we visit to check out neighborhoods for relocation I am more convinced of how nice it would be to live there. Not once so far, during any of our many trips there have we had any kind of negitive experience. The restautants, the people, the beauty, history, it's all been great.
