Hi. Nothing has happened yet.... or a while as far as that goes. But now it will!!!!!
I am a all around mechanic/machinist, and have always done my own work on everything.....
We moved here (MP) 2 1/2 months ago. I do not have my 40x50 shop anymore, just a rented storage unit.
I have access to my toolbox if needed. But I was just thinking if I had any problems, I would just bite the bullet, if anything happened that would take more than an afternoon.
I wouldn't be able to leave my vehicle at the storage complex with it torn apart.....waiting for parts etc.
Any suggestions for a decent mechanic in MP. I know there are alot of variables when talking auto mechanics as far as if its tranmissions, differentials, major engine problems, or just simple rod ends, water pumps etc..
I am just curious what place in general would be reccomended?
I also had issues with Mount Pleasant Auto on 41, off 17. They corrected the issue (after several additional, no cost visits) but the issue should not have happened from the get go.
There are two places (Irvines and East Cooper Auto) almost across the street/beside each other on Shadow Drive, off Chuck Dawley, across from/near SCE&G. Many say both are good and reasonably priced.
Back when I worked in the body shop at Rick Hendrick's (15 Years ago) he was in the mechanic shop. He now works at McElveen in MtP and does a LOT of work on the side.
Joe's Garage on Stuart Engal .. Joe doesn't crack a smile, but he's one knowledgable, honest mechanic. He's been our friend's auto mechanic for over 20 years and now ours, too.
I go to Larson's Automotive on 17N near Wando High School and they're good people.
I'll check them out too....
Thanks.
