Is it itsy-bitsy and did it go up your waterspout?

I'm sorry, couldn't resist. I don't know what kind it is, but I'm sure Sellsfish could, he's quite good at identifying just about anything that swims, crawls, flies, and walks...mostly swims, obviously!

My thoughts also.

Spiders are good, they eat mosquitos.

That is defnitely not a Brown Recluse. They are not found in open areas like that and prefer to stay out of sight. I am not sure what the exact name is of that spider but that one is definitely harmless and great for your garden.

Looks like 2 different spiders, the one at night looks like a wolf spider... the other a common brown spider, definitely not a brown recluse.... look them up....

It's the same spider. I took the pictures last night. In the dark photo I was facing away from the outside light. The funny thing is the spider and the web were gone this morning. The spider spent all that time making a big web and then just got rid of it.

Def not a brown recluse. They are "reclusive" and don't hide in the wide open.

They also don't build orb webs, and neither do wolf spiders which hunt their prey down (like wolves - hence the name). There are field guides to spiders, you can probably find one at your library and look it up. Look under "orb weavers".
