Default Physical Therapist

Wondering how the job market is in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area for physical therapists? Mt. Pleasant is on our short list for places to move. Any PTs on this board or other medical professionals that have any insight as to job availability in general for PTs there and typical salary? And, yes, I have visited the area before considering a move

check craig's list for Charleston.

There are many private PT clinics in MTP; also 2 hospitals; and home health companies always seem to be advertising for home PT; so it depends on what you want to get into.

MUSC downtown has both inpatient and outpatient therapy, as does Roper downtown. Roper also has a small rehab unit.

Great. Thanks! I have googled and found many PT clinics in the area. Thanks for the Craigslist tip, also. I would never have thought of that as here you would never find any professional jobs posted on another Craigslist. I would love to move down there and hope it works out now

I think also Trident Hospital in North Charleston has both inpatient and outpatient rehab. From what I've seen on Craig's list, most of the listing seem to be for home health agencies. Also, if you google 'physical therapy jobs in Charleston, SC', you'll get a ton of places to look. There was even one for a traveling PT!
