I've passed this a few times and someone mentioned there are hiking trails there.
This new Dorchester County Park is going out toward Hwy 61 from Bacons Bridge but you go right at fork in the road instead of going to 61. It's on the next corner. There are picnic tables and a shelter. I believe it is open now.
Can someone confirm the trails.....i.e. how many miles, snaky, paved, where they lead to, etc.?
I am not familiar with the park you mentioned, but will keep an eye on this thread to see what others have to say. There is a new park (to be built) across from cedar Grove and next to Wescott coming soon. It is called Wescott Park.
sweet! looks awesome. Let us know how the trails are, I love taking the kid out with his offroad stroller. We had some fun in the spring in Marion State park
The Sawmill Branch Trail is longer paved and has several access points along it...
Oh yes, I love this trail and have been on it many many times but I'm always looking for new places to go. I get bored easily and like to try new places.

Just went there today and the trails were nice. We had my youngest in the jogging stoller and it was pretty doable. Some bumppy spots for a stroller, but we made the entire loop. A regular, non big wheel stoller will not do.
But the trails were nice and easy. People walking and ridding bikes on the trail. It's very scenic. One side of the trail follows Bacon's Bridge road and was kinda car noisy. But still nice.
Are the trails paved? Looks like we will have to check this out soon!
