fwiw Charleston has a very large Jewish community, and in fact if not for that Charleston wouldn't exist as the thriving community we've always known...

Jewish families pretty much founded Charleston's business district, especially on King St a cpl hundred years ago... there's tons of historic data/writings on it if you wanted to look it up
