You people need to understand that Boeing has done nothing, to date, to shape or mold the Charleston area into what it is.

How are you people coming up with this stuff? It's like you think Boeing has been around here for twenty years. The darn plant isn't even "open" yet.

Well the plant is open. Another thing, I wasn't talking about people that have been here forever, I was talking about move-ins.

I couldn't agree more. Holy Cow. This morning around 10:30 it was 97% and yesterday I was sweating just sitting outside. We went downtown Charleston today and I could have cut it with a knife. It seems like this last week has been really humid. I guess with the temp being not as hot, it doesn't feel as terrible as those summer months of high humidity and 100 degree temps but holy cow. I remind myself it is good for the skin... (and look past what it is doing for my hair...lol).

WELCOME!!!
We are recent move ins from Wa state (Boeing). I love it here! We've been here since March, and everyone kept telling us "Just wait until summer you'll hate it!" Well, we made it through summer, and although my horses hated it, we all survived just fine. The heat/humidity can be a bit surprising, especially at 5:30 in the morning (It took some getting used to, here it can be 80 degrees at 4 am, in Washington, I can't remember it ever being hotter than 65 that early in the morning) but I'm not complaining. I will take hot and humid over rainy and cold any day.

I have a 12 yr old daughter, but she's not into sports except horseback riding, so I'm not much help on that front!
