Default Internet and Phone Providers in Mount Pleasant

Can anyone tell me what other providers, other than Comcast, that I can get for phone and internet in Mount Pleasant. I have about had it with Comcast. The cable goes out more than it should and the customer service is not the best. I'm thinking about going with Directv, but will need phone and internet. Thanks.

Default Knology

Call Knology. I can't tell you they're better, but since I agree with you 100% about Comcast, they can't be worse. Now realize that I'm telling you to call to find out when/if your neighborhood will get wired for them. We're getting the lines put in our neighborhood this week. I know many here kept requesting the installation.
As far as AT&T, another option, a neighbor told us they went without internet for 2 WEEKS this summer. So they can't wait for Knology to be up & running.

Again, I have no first hand experience with Knology, just welcome ANY option.

Choice was either AT&T or Comcast for my location.
Nothing I heard about AT&T were good, so default was Comcast.
Initially many problems and could not wait for Knology to be available for PW. It is available in Dune West and just a matter of time.
Once they sent 2 supervisors to watch over the technician that came to fix the problem. I sent the supervisors home, said if they are just there to stand around, stand around somewhere else. The the problem was, the main connection box was not functioning. I called the company and they analyzed over the phone the battery was not functioning, they need to send someone out to put a new battery in. I said you send a box with an old battery ? They had no answer. Tech came over, opened the box and amazingly there was NO BATTERY ! That should have given me an inkling to Comcast.

I have not had a problem since, never had down time etc.
But to fix that problem and few other initial problems, calling and dealing with their phone support was HORRIBLE. Placed on hold for 15-20 minutes at a time. Switched from one phone person to another, dropped calls. Frustration on top of frustration. While on hold each time, I repeated I cannot wait for Knology and I still cannot wait for Knology. Comcast as I said no down time after the initial problems... but old wounds run deep. Comacst will care more about their clients after Knology takes a bigger bite

I had a lot of issues with my Comcast. Still do with the cable end of it but we finally figured out our internet issues. If you are in a subdivision have them test your signal. We had too many lines going into one cable box thingy and the tech said that slowed us down. I also got a new modem (free) and had to buy a new router. Since them we rarely have any issues.

We had direct tv and my inlaws have dish and it is just as bad, if not worse than Comcast. Really there is no better choice for Internet than comcast.
