Default Charleston kayaking

My wife and I are looking for a place in the Charleston area that rents kayaks either tours or otherwise.. We will be there the first week in September..

Ive had some friends who've highly recommended these guys. Kayak Charleston, sea kayaking South Carolina and guided kayak tours in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

I think they have tours along Shem Creek, Folly, etc. Check them out.

Do rent on Shem Creek if you only are going out once. Paddling thru "Shrimp Boat Lane" is a little intimidating but awesome. Dolphins will find you! And when you get out to Crab Island you'll see birds that are almost pterodactyl in size. You can't roam the island (it's roped off) but circling it just to see the hundreds of birds nesting is worth it. Isle of Palms Marina is my second choice.
