No, “bring” is not future tense; it is present tense. “Will bring” is future tense.

It depends on whom you are talking to. If you are talking to the host, you use bring. If you are talking to someone who will be also going to the party, you say take.

Jane is having a party at her place.
Yes, I know. I'm taking a dessert.

I'm having a party.
What should I bring?


It's something you've just got to practice until you feel it. That's what my high school English teacher told us.
