OH! OH! Boulevard Diner in Mt. P, has THE best Hummingbird Cake I have ever had!!!
I was just going to post that Boulevard Diner's Hummingbird Cake and their Coconut Cake are the best I've ever had (then I saw your post)......I eat at the Boulevard Diner on James Island, but since they are owned by the same person, the recipes are the same.

Any updates to this thread?

We're looking for a place to swing by after a home-cooked meal for a fancy dessert!

Thanks for the great suggestions so far!

The hummingbird cheesecake cake at Saffron is great! You could also go downtown and have a slice of the Peninsula Grill coconut cake. It is incredible. I have only had mine made from their recipe until recently. I have a little more work to do to get mine just like theirs!

Will both places look upon us weird for only coffee and dessert? I assume not, but just checking...

Thanks for the tip!

If there is a wait at Kaminsky's you can go sit at the bar a T-Bonz and order desserts and coffee from Kaminsky's.
