Interesting, I always thought interpretation and/or reasoning was your strong point.

Where in any of this did I point out that I want society to pay for my kid's wants? Cite the post...just be careful.

I understand that libertarians tend to balk at the thought of giving, but we are talking about giving these kids an opportunity to do something positive. If all had your mindest there would be kids who never would have the opportunity to participate in sports or other positive activities.

So if my "liberal idea" means giving to others who have a lesser chance, then I will proudly continue to do so. That being the case, I have initiated efforts for next year to oversome this issue. Again, it will mean giving financially, but if it helps the organization then I am all for it. Perhaps I can depend on your for a donation or sponsorship.

Too bad since many of the kids who play live in Summerville. Even the mayor won't do anything for the league to get the team into Gahagan.

Fortunately for the team North Charleston stepped in and allowed them to use Danny Jones Oark for a very small fee. The down side is that it is quite a drive to get there from Summerville.

I simply wish the city would give these kids a place to play.
It is in the very first post you made, you wanted Summerville to lower the fee they charge, in your words give these kids a place to play, for using the field so that your kids could use it instead of going to N. Charleston, then there are the following posts about society paying for things that are 'positive' things to do, should I quote each one of them also...."

I copied it from another of your posts:

"So if the citizens are complaining something should be done correct? Unfortunately there are far too many complainers and far too few complainers who offer solutions. I had this same conversation with a citizen whose myopic vision prevented him from looking at things objectively. He, like many, did not understand how important it is for us as a society to put money into positive activities pro-actively.

As far as my interpretation and reasoning skills they are quite intact...

Yes. For MY kids this is not an issue. For others it is. Again, this is involves a TEAM.

And what your kids are not on the 'Team'?

What goes for the team or these kids, goes for your kids as well.....

If it isn't an issue for your kids than why don't you pay for the field time and not try to guilt the rest of us into it by saying it is 'for the children' or worse yet have the government come take the money from us at gun point....

If YOU want to spend your money on that, go for it. I have other things I want to spend my money on.

As I said, I am working on an initiative to take care of it which includes my personal financial commitment. Yes, my son is on the team, but this stance from the city is something I never experienced. When I ran a basketball league in the past, the city was excited about allowing us to use the school facilities for the kid's activities.

And as for the isue of guilt, that is on you.
