Default Amazing Curly Hair Expert/Stylist?!

If you have curls you know just how hard it is to find someone who really understands your hair! I'm moving to Charleston in.the next few months, and I'll definitely need someone who can handle my head of hair. Any suggestions? I dread hearing the words, "I had no idea it would shrink so much!"

Be prepared to wear a hat.....

The humidity here makes for some real bad hair days for Curlygirls.....

I know, I know! I've been growing my hair back out in preparation so I don't have an afro!

I'll ask a friend. Whoever she goes to knows exactly what they're doing because the results are great.
(edit: it may be Monday evening by the time I see her again though so be patient)

Good Deal, and for what it's worth, curly hair is awesome! I wish I had it!

Thank you! My hair is super thick with tight ringlets. Most people say it's the most curly they've seen! So wish me luck, I guess.

have you heard of those keratin treatments where it makes your hair stick straight for about 6 months?

yes I have heard of them and they are EXPENSIVE even for us to purchase at our price. You have to be careful because some of them contain formaldehyde. If you're going to do it, find one that is Formaldehyde free. We didn't do them where I worked, so I haven't heard much abut the results, but at that price, they BETTER work, lol!

I haven't heard of them, but I don't really have any interest in straightening my hair. If you knew me you'd see how much my curls "fit" and are kind of my trademark! Also in my past experience with chemical straighteners, my hair just curls right back up.
