We are relocating to Charleston this spring and I am curious if there are Beach Clubs in Charleston? We are looking for something similar to what we have in LA. A social club with dining and beach facilities (chairs, umbrellas, locker room, showers, etc.). Thank you!

None that I am aware of.

SC has a law that all beaches are public even if your property adjoins one, you do not "own" the beach. MA also has the same law, thus free access to all beaches.

That does mean you can "trespass" on my property to get to a beach but somewhere, somehow you do/will have free/public access to that beach.

That's why there are multiple beach access paths on all of the islands. I remember Wild Dunes once tried to deny people access to the beach for some reason and got shot down pretty darn hard.

Go to Folly Beach, dine & drink at Rita's, then walk across the street for all that other stuff. Of course, you'll have to share it with us riff-raff.
