Mt. Pleasant on IOP connector always seemed fast to me. But so does the DMV downtown by Joe Riley stadium.

The words "fast" and "DMV" in SC should never be used in the same sentence.

I've always used the one on the IOP connector and never had an issue. Was pretty quick. I think the address is actually on Iron Bridge Road.

The thread title, "Fastest DMV", is the mother of all oxymorons.

The last time I was at the MtP location I left. Must have been 30-40 people hovering in that small office. I'll hit them up another time.

The only one I have used is at 135 Wimberly Drive in Ladson. I haven't had to wait too long, but I did try to avoid the normally busy times like around lunch time or late in the afternoon. As long as you have all the required paperwork, it runs pretty smoothly.

I had a decent experience at the DMV off College Park Rd (near 26). I think that is considered Goose Creek (maybe Ladson?) and Berkley County. It was back in September. I'm not sure if it is standard practice at all DMVs but they have a help desk so you are guided on what to do before your number is called. I was in and out within 45 minutes (maybe even quicker than that).

Moncks Corner or St. George. I have never had to wait at St. George, and have had only 1/2 hr wait at Moncks Corner...

ROFL!!!!.....no kidding! Oxymoron is a total understatement!

The only one I've been to is the one in Ladson. How "fast" depends on the time of day.
First thing in the AM seems to be the best time to go. I went in there a few weeks ago
on a Wednesday at 9 AM and was out of there in less than 20 minutes. Again,
though, it depends on the time of day and day of the week. Actually, now that I think
about it, it also depends on what business you have to do in there. Some transactions
take longer because you have to deal with more agents. Conversely, other transactions
take less time if you only have one window to go to.

St. George

Walked in, got my son's driver's license and transferred tags on a car as well as having a bunch of questions answered, all in under half an hour.
