House buying Question - tub
Would you buy a house that does not have a tub in the master bathroom?

I didn't buy one, but I rented one in FL, I honestly didn't mind. Wife had to compromise and use the guest bath to shave. But she is one of those girls that can go a little longer without shaving.
Only problem I really saw.

I might, and I LOVE to soak in a tub. In my last house we customized a middle floor bath and put a giant jetted tub in that bathroom, because changing the master bath was going to cost three times as much. Once that was in I NEVER used the tub in the master bath, even though I had to go down a flight of stairs to use it the good tub. It never really bothered me at all and i would do the same thing in this house if it were possible, just to get a decent size tub.
The one thing I wouldn't want to do is share my tub with the kids in my house, but it's just you two right now, right?
If you really love the house will it really bother you having to walk a few steps to get to the tub? If you have a whole ritual where you soak in the tub to relax before bed it might be inconvienient. How much do you love to soak?

Yes, if I liked everything else about the house. Our last home had just a shower in the master bath, but there was another bath with tub just down the hall, so for the 1 or 2 days a week I had the time to soak, I would just go down the hall. It was no big deal.

I think I have only lived in one house that had a master bath without a tub, now that I think of it.
I do know that for me, personally, the bathroom is on the bottom of my list when it comes to wanting things "just so" so I guess I'm not a good judge.

If it doesn't bother you, I would go for it. We have a kid and know eventually we will be sharing.
Hell our last rental house, our master bath was TINY!. It became my bath, and the wife went down the hall and used the guest bath as HER bath. The downstairs half bath was for guest.
Worked great, we just toughed it out when we had company.
