My son's birthday is coming up in a little over a week...
Any suggestions for a bakery to order a cake?
Goose Creek or surrounding areas
I have had a birthday cake from Publix before (not this location) and it was pretty good so grocery cake suggestions are welcome I just want the good old buttercream frosting!
any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Publix does make some good cakes and cookies! Sorry, haven't lived here long enough to need a bakery yet

I've been looking for a bakery but I'm not sure there are any, other than at the grocery store. Publix (St James) has some pretty impressive cakes (I want the choc. one with Strawberries on the top...yum). I think you have to give them a days notice for the cakes in the cake book. I'd love to find a real bakery! I wonder where people get their wedding cakes, etc.

Publix cakes aren't bad. Independent bakeries aren't big in the south..........

If I didn't have company coming around that time, I would make you a cake for your son's birthday. I love making cakes and I make a great buttercream frosting! Here are a couple pictures of cakes I have made.

Do you have a Harris Teeter. Harris Teeter has the very best birthday cakes. I have gone to parties that had birthday cakes from other places, but I never consider that they come up to the standard of the Harris Teeter Deli.

What about Saffron? It's not in Goose creek, but someone at work said they have good cakes.
