So our lawn mower isn't working. We have a tiny little square patch of grass in our backyard that's getting unruly and no way to mow it. I have called some of the landscaping companies but no one is answering or calling back. (Probably because of the holiday.) Would anyone like to come mow my lawn? It would literally take maybe 10 minutes. You'd have to supply the mower and it's so small it would have to be a push mower. Name your price! Or does anyone know someone that would be willing to do this? Maybe a teenager or college kid. It can be this weekend preferably but if it has to be after the holiday that would probably be ok. (Hope it doesn't rain!) Thanks for your help!

That would be awesome!

When we pull the starter thing (sorry if my technical language is horrible!) it doesn't turn over. It SOUNDS like it's about to, but doesn't. Checked the gas, it's good. Thought it might be a sparkplug issue? But I looked up on how to change one and I was lost.

You might just need to spray some starter fluid into the carb or air intake to give it a boost.

Could you just use a weed eater for that small patch of grass?

starting fluid in anything is NOT a good idea, at best it will ruin your pistons rings and make the machine more dependent on using it and at worst it can ruin a small motor like that...

use WD40, it'll run on that...

ethanol has killed a ton of small engines, usually disintegrating the fuel lines and plastic carbs on most small equipment these days... use ethonal free fuel on your lawn equipment

Well thank you so much for all your help but the weedeater did do the trick! Thanks OleTomCat for the offer though. Our landlord actually owns the mower so didn't want to mess with it too much, they're going to look at it next week. Otherwise, the grass is at least trimmed for now.

My priming system, was screwed up on my mower, I do the 'ole palm over the carb, half crank pull, then a full pull and run it with an open CARB.

then again I have a self propelled mower that the self propelled part was broken and someone threw it away on the side of the road. I have had it for 3 years, now. LOL.
