Bombay on Rivers Ave just off 1-26 has great Indian; and they have a little grocery next door.
Jamaican Me Hungry just opened on State Street downtown, where the old Belgian Chocolate place was. Haven't been there, but have read pretty good reviews.
Martha Lou's Kitchen on Morrison Drive has been visited by Bizarre Foods and I think Anthony Bourdain; supposed to be pretty good soul food.
Ali Baba on Houston Northcutt in MtP has the best falafel I've ever had (except my own!). Other Lebanese specialties, and their baba-ghanoush (sp) is super velvety and creamy.
El Bohio on James Island for Cuban - yum!
Taste of Thai in West Ashley near Citadel Mall for Thai food - one of our favorite go-to places.
Tons of Mexican, the best seem to be on Rivers Ave; haven't been to any, so can't give an opinion; we just don't get up there much.
For sushi, Oriental Garden is our hands down favorite, but be sure to get there early as they fill up fast!

Nelli Grocery Indian Spices and Vegetables, which is located on Ashley River Rd. in the same area as the Crab Shack. I've been in there a couple of times and they have a fairly large selection of items.
Rice B Korean Restaurant is located on Glenn McConnell between Quiznos and the Exxon Station. I've never been there and just recently noticed it. The reviews on it seem pretty good though.
